My Toastmasters journey began as president of the newly chartered corporate club, The Informers. Thanks to a great executive team, willing members, and a couple of veteran Toastmasters who completed their advanced awards with the club, we were recognized as President's Distinguished and achieved 10 of 10 goals!
My next stop was with the 11th Street Talkers which met at the American Red Cross at 11th and Hwy 169. I was a club mentor and helped the club become Distinguished.
My current club is Torchlighters Club 2942, where I currently serve as VP Public Relations.
I have served in several club roles: president, VPE, and VPPR. I was Area Director for U2 in 2018-19, and I have presented at a dozen Toastmasters Leadership Institutes. I earned my DTM in the traditional program, and have nearly completed my second path in Pathways on my way to a second DTM.
I have placed in several Area and Division contests, and served as a judge, ballot counter, contest chair, and chief judge. I also chaired two TLIs, and two Area Speech Contests.
I enjoy my Toastmasters experiences because it gives me an opportunity to "Sharpen the Saw."
