I have been a member since 2012. I joined to help improve my speaking skills but what I did not expect was the leadership development as well as the many friends I would make. I have held many leadership positions and have also been fortunate to represent the club in the 2013 state humorous contest where I placed 2nd. I have also finished first in the 2015 and 2018 District 16 Evaluation contest. Since joining I have experienced many professional and personal successes which I credit Toastmasters for but even after multiple years I still discover areas where I need to continue to improve. I call our meetings my weekly dose of self-confidence. I highly recommend Toastmasters as a way to help improve oneself.

I am so excited to be a part of Toastmasters and the leadership team in District 16. I joined Toastmasters when I realized all the potential that is available through the support of the members and the monthly meetings. I have learned so much from fellow Toastmasters and continue to learn with each encounter. So many have jumped in to help me as I set goals and strive to become a stronger leader and better communicator.

I am a seven year member of Toastmasters. When I first joined Tinker Toastmasters, I had no expectation although my enthusiasm was high. Once I stepped out of my comfort zone, achieved educational awards, expanded my visibility and fostered new relationships, the Toastmasters experience became clearer. I realized that I had to become a leader, give more than I receive, and make a difference. The success of District 16 through all club, area and division levels is one which we will share together while maintaining integrity, serving continually and exhibiting excellence in all we do.
